Brownville
and the entire South Eastern Nebraska region have been growing
grapes for centuries. It's about time we had a winery and Mr.
Robert Curttright, Jr. was just the man to do it! We are very
proud to introduce you to Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard & Winery.
Whiskey Run Creek is a unique vineyard and winery offering its
customers great tasting wine in a peaceful and unique setting.
We have entertained people from all over the United States and
Europe with tours and tastings. Please stop by for a tasting and
tour! See for yourself - view the 100 year-old barn spanning the
creek, walk its large surrounding deck to sit and relax by the
waterfall. Continue on the short path down into the all-brick
historic caves built in 1866 and then come back to the future
when you enter the fully modern production facility.
Of course, we hope you taste our wine. Our wine has been featured
at a fine dinning Italian restaurant in Illinois with such great
success it has become a regular offering. Although our wine will
change from time-to-time, these are the varieties we currently
sell: Maréchal Foch, St. Croix, DeChaunac, Edelweiss, Apple,
Apple-Raspberry.
Combine the atmosphere and our wines with your special event,
and wonderful memories are created. We offer our facility for
rental whether it's business (meetings, holidays, retirement)
or a more personal event (wedding, family reunion, holiday), you
can have it here. Call for pricing information.
We encourage you to visit our web site. There you will find our
story, local history, picture galleries and even an on-line gift
shop.
From all of us at Whiskey Run Creek, we say thank you for your
interest in our winery and to the town of Brownville, thank you
for all your support. It is greatly appreciated!
